Redefining elegance through sustainability, innovation & cultural storytelling.
Founded in April 2018, Estaz Clothing is a contemporary fashion house that blends individuality with sustainability. Established by creative director Esther Okonta Onyebuchukwu, the brand was created to empower women through timeless, distinctive designs that celebrate beauty, confidence, and strength.
With a design philosophy rooted in innovation and responsibility, Estaz incorporates biodegradable fabrics such as jute and raffia, alongside techniques like reworking fabric scraps into handwoven textiles. This approach redefines beauty with purpose, ensuring each creation is as meaningful as it is striking.
The brand’s acclaimed Rewoven Collection exemplifies its vision — a fusion of African heritage and modern couture that speaks to cultural storytelling while remaining globally relevant.
Estaz addresses fashion’s environmental footprint with eco-conscious practices and circular craft.
Thoughtful use of materials like jute and raffia that return gently to the earth.
Fabric offcuts are transformed into handwoven masterpieces extending textile life cycles.
African heritage and artisanal craftsmanship meet modern couture techniques.
Circularity in motion — reimagining fabric waste into couture.
A return to heritage, craft, and earth-friendly materials.
A Petroleum & Gas Engineering graduate from the University of Lagos, Esther is the founder and creative director of Estaz. She unites engineering precision with creative vision to advance sustainable, luxurious couture rooted in African heritage.
Her dedication has earned national and international recognition: winner of the Stanbic IBTC FUZE Talent Show and the Showmax Original Style Magnate competition; first edition winner at Barefashion Evening runway; Top 5 finalist at Designshark International 2022; three-time showcase at the Miss Universe Runway; and exhibitions at Reroll Station Lab in Abuja and London (2025). She has also served as a judge at Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 and Miss Motherland Nigeria 2025, and appeared on Silverbird talk shows.
Since 2018, Esther has shaped Estaz into a bridge between creativity, community, and commerce — employing biodegradable fabrics such as jute and raffia, and reworking textile waste into new value. Her goal: a more sustainable Nigeria where fashion drives responsible production, climate action, and community empowerment.
